Held from 6 to 19 Oct, this bilateral exercise marks the first time the SAF's national servicemen are training with the IA.
Singapore's Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Defence Ng Eng Hen, who is currently in India for a visit from 10 to 13 Oct, will observe the exercise at the Devlali Field Firing Range.
During his visit to India, Dr Ng met Minister for Defence Pranab Mukherjee and other senior defence officials. They discussed bilateral defence relations and issues of mutual security interest, like the regional security situation, terrorism and maritime security.
Dr Ng's visit reflects the warm and growing defence relationship between Singapore and India.
There are extensive and regular interactions between the SAF and the Indian Armed Forces. Both armies also interact regularly through visits, courses, seminars and other professional exchanges.
