S'PORE, INDONESIA IN AIR EXERCISE

The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) are conducting their biennial bilateral air exercise from 3 to 22 Jul.

The 14th in the series of regular exercises, Exercise Elang Indopura was officially opened by the RSAF's Chief of Staff (Air Staff) Brigadier-General (BG) Sih Seah Wee and TNI-AU's Deputy Chief of Staff Air Marshal Wresni Wiro S E at Paya Lebar Air Base (PLAB) in Singapore on 4 Jul.

The exercise has two phases: a Command Post Exercise (CPX) at PLAB, followed by an Air Manoeuvre Exercise (AMX) at Iswahyudi Air Force Base in Eastern Java, Indonesia.

This exercise is jointly directed by Exercise Directors, Colonel (COL) Peter Ware of the RSAF and COL Abdul Muis of TNI-AU.

Exercise Elang Indopura will conclude at Iswahyudi Air Force Base with a closing ceremony on 21 Jul, officiated by Singapore's Chief of Air Force BG Ng Chee Khern and his Indonesian counterpart, Air Chief Marshal Herman Prayitno.

Personnel from both air forces will also conduct a joint socio-civic programme for the people of Madiun on 15 Jul at Iswahyudi Air force Base Hospital, distributing food packages and providing medical and dental services.
