S'PORE FIREWORKS FESTIVAL BACK WITH A BIGGER BANG

Fancy viewing one of this year's most colourful and vibrant events on a 500-metre wide natural 'screen'?
For four nights in August, the skies above Marina South will be lit up with a dazzling display of grand fireworks.
Held in conjunction with the Carnival@Marina festivities to celebrate National Day, the Singapore Fireworks Festival returns this year to add more sparkle to our nation's 40th birthday celebration.
Songs and dances will also complement the visual spectacle a concert will be held on each night of the fireworks display.
Up to 40 local and international artistes will perform in these concerts. Performers include Taufik and Rui En, Eric Moo, Taiwanese band Mayday, and Hong Kong star Nnadia Chan.
Organisers expect up to half a million visitors on each of the four nights.
Admission to the concerts and firework displays is free.

06 Aug (Sat) - Concert begins at 8:30 pm and fireworks display begins at 7:45 pm
08 Aug (Mon) - Concert begins at 9 pm and fireworks display begins at Midnight
09 Aug (Tues) - Concert begins at 8:30 pm and fireworks display begins at about 8 pm
14 Aug (Sun) - Concert begins at 9 pm and fireworks display begins at 8 pm
Getting there:
You are encouraged to use public transport.
MRT to Marina South station.
Bus No. 400 and 400A.
River taxi from Clifford Pier ($4 a ride).
Private vehicles will be not allowed into the area.
