Minister of State for Defence, Associate Professor Koo Tsai Kee, is in the United Kingdom from 14 to 18 Jul.

Associate Professor Koo is attending the Farnborough International Airshow, a global aerospace trade fair held every other year.

During his visit, Associate Professor Koo will meet the UK's Secretary of State for Defence, The Right Honourable Des Browne, and other senior defence officials.

Associate Professor Koo's visit reflects the warm, longstanding defence ties between Singapore and the UK.

The armed forces of both countries also interact regularly through joint training programmes and exercises, both bilaterally and under the Five Power Defence Arrangements.
